about

PRODUCED BY BRADLEY GREEN.

I started this project in January. I didn't know what it was going to be until about two months ago. I thought I was making an EP. I went to my friend Britizen Kane's house after he reached out on a status where I was struggling to find a studio space after moving back to Manchester, and he offered to help me, so there I recorded Letter and Smoking Ban in one session.

Then a few weeks later I recorded Coffee In The Smoke, Bad Friend, 0161, Good Day and Logic On Lunch Break.

The other tracks, It's Okay To Talk, Coup De Grace and I Should Probably Go And See A Therapist were recorded in the spare room of my apartment.

After listening to the tracks in a random order, I decided to make a 10 track album, a collection of short stories. I want this album to show my journey, the rough and the smooth.

Every single drum beat, melody and lyric you hear on that project was 100% me. And I did all of this whilst working a full time job. I'm super proud of this album, and I'm proud of me for not giving up when it got difficult.

Doing an 8AM - 4:30PM shift and getting the bus to studio, recording 5 tracks, going home to sleep for 6 hours and going on the phones at 8AM again the following day was tough. I made loads of the beats on my lunch break, hence the album being called what it was.

Thank you to my amazing girlfriend, my best friend, partner in crime and life coach Charlie; none of this would have been possible without your late night pep talks and reality checks. Thanks for always telling me what sounds good and what doesn't, always being impartial, and for never complaining when I left you alone in the evening. You're the best, and I owe you the world.

Mum and Dad, thank you for the random £50 bank transfers every couple of months, which indirectly funded this project without you knowing, because the bus pass I get to work didn't include the bus I got to studio. I love you both so much.

Kev, you're an absolute legend! You have the same music taste as me, and understand my influences more than anybody in the world. Thanks for always taking the time to check out beats, and for the nights where I'd hijack yours and Clare's Chromecast to show you rough versions of songs.

Jess, my absolute best friend, my spirit animal, the moon to my stars, the greatest cheerleader. Thank you for being the best support, and for never being embarrassed to challenge me. For all the kitchen raves where we'd disperse from the madness to talk about the world's funny ways of working, I'm forever in your debt.

Britizen Kane, thank you for letting me use your space, and never complaining when I would take up your evenings to record tracks when you could have been doing stuff that was a lot more fun. You helped motivate me to get to this point and I owe you for that big time.

Jordan, Vill, Patrick Currier, Chan, Jemma, Leon, Superlative, Adam, Dan C and Dan R, Qas, Crouchy, Strickz, Briggz, Shotty, thank you all - there's so many other people I could mention. You've all played very important roles in the inception of this project without realising.

Rant over, on to album 2!

Cheers,

Brad
